This skirt was a real bargain, bought on a flea market on the country side for 1euro.
Bag from Erikshjälpen second hand and top of organic cotton.
Summer is still far away, at least in Stockholm! But until then I dream away with these lovely dresses from People Tree and Stewart&Brown.
Sommaren känns fortfarande väldigt långt borta men snart är vi där! Tills dess drömmer jag om dessa ljuvliga klänningar ifrån People Tree och Stewart&Brown.

Just when I thought the beloved spring might be on its way, I woke up to snow storm yesterday…
Well thank God I have good shoes to walk in then!
My nice Beak boots are handmade, ecological and made in Sweden, does it get better then that?
They make your shoes after order, so it migth take a week or two before you get them, but its worth waiting for.

Jeans Jeans Jeans, I have several pairs of them and love them all. But it takes so much water to produce them. Apparently (I’m not an expert in jeans) you wash them several times before they are ready to sell, to create the right colour and look.
Levi how ever saw the problem and did something about it (we like that!): their new collection is called “water less” and will be in store this year. Normally it takes 48 litres per jeans, so I did I quick count adding up all my jeans I own and it took 240 litres of water to just make the jeans I have. But Levi has a new method, they can reduce the amount of water with 28 %, thats 11 litres less per jeans! How good is that!
You can read an Swedish article about it here, or the press release message in English here, Or simple just look at the youtube clip below!
LONG LIVE THE JEANS (but with less water please… )
Last time I was in London I went to one of “TRAID‘s” 10 shops that they have in and around London. I found some really nice stuff in their shops, to mention just one: my favourite dance dress! So I thought I’d take the opportunity to write about them and what they do.
TRAID is working:
What I like most about TRAID is that they take care of any old textiles even those jeans that are too worn out to sell second hand, that jacket without buttons or that top with hole in the side. With all those clothes that I just described they make really cool remakes. The brand is called ”TRAIDremade” and you can find it in both Brighton where the clothes are made by their designers and in Camnden Town London.
Some of the stuff that I tried on..
They even do recycled shoes! I know for sure that I will walk around the streets in a pair of these during summer.
Please have a look at the other shoes and clothes that I didn’t get a picture of on the website or go to the shop if you live close by!
Ps. I noticed that they have a sale going on so take the opportunity NOW people!
My friend Karolina had these nice clothes on last time we meet, both the top and jeans is from Lindex eco collection. Being away from Sweden for a long time and all that made me totally miss that Lindex have eco clothes so I had a quick look at the website, and I was positive surprised! During 2009 they produced over a million eco clothes, and was hoping for more during the next years. So if you don’t like second hand clothes, this is for you! You can still make a difference, go to Lindex next time you need new clothes and see if you find something eco!
About how many plastic bags I use every week just to bring my groceries home. Statisticts say that in Sweden we use 720,000,000 plastic bags every year. The ”life time” of a plastic bag is only 12 min before it hits the bin. What a waste… Plastic bags, who are made of oil, is a not a very enviroment friendly way to carry your stuff around. But there is some good looking alternative! Envirosax is one of them.

In Sweden you can also buy them on Designtorget!
